Weapon Safety and Security

As you all now, upon joining team, I have given you all a "Safety Slip" to sign and bring back. I expect everyone one of you guys to have read and understood that piece of paper when you turn it in. On the slip, it states that you are to have liability and control over your own weapon after it is handed to you. You, and you only, are allowed to touch the weapon and spin. No one else is authorized unless specifically said so by the ASI, DT/CC, or individual team commanders. Please keep an eye out for your weapon if you set it down, if there is a case of weapon misplacement, not only you but the whole team will be in consequence. Failure to maintain proper procedures will result in an immediate demerit from myself, or any ASI, DT/CC, or individual team commanders. Also, please refrain from spinning your weapon on the way to and from the grinder. If you have clearly read the safety slip, it states that you must always hold the rifle at "port arms" or "right shoulder" when walking around. Thank you!

Entertainment books

Team, the core has given us 8 $20 books and 1 $40 book to sale as fundraising! If you sell a book, please call me or contact me to make sure that I have enough books to supply the buyer. There is a very limited supply so first come first serve.

Team Money

For those first years on team, we have special customized uniforms we wear at competitions. Unfortunately, they are not free for us. Therefore, I am collecting money from everybody on the team for uniform parts and team supplies. First years on the team will have to pay $40, second years will pay $35, third years will pay $30, and fourth years will pay $25. This money is due in a week. Thank you team.

BDP/BDS

The Best Drilled Platoon (BDP) and Best Drilled Squadron (BDS) competition is coming up on November 11th. I encourage everyone to sign up and try out for positions on the competition. There will be a total of 24 cadets competing for the BDP, which will be commanded by Kariza. The BDP will consist of 3 elements with 2 first years in each element. The BDS will consist of a minimum of 6 cadets, commanded by myself. Please take the opportunity to sign up for this competition for it is fairly easy.

Team, the end of tryouts is coming to an end! That means that final cuts are on the way as well, Friday, Oct 8th will be the last day of tryouts and you all will be graded based on your skills. Here are some of the things you should practice at home for tryouts:
