Belongings

Team, I was aware of how during practice, everyone just leaves their electronics on the bench in the quad while we practice. That is a really big issue because it is in the wide open and no one is responsible for it. From now on, please put away your belongings inside your bag or somewhere safe before practice. Thank you!

First day of tryouts

Today went great you guys. It is just a little taste of armed team! I'm glad the most of you have decided to stay, it has only been a day and you all have more than a week to go! Keep up the good work. Tomorrow, I will be handing out a questionaire for everyone to fill out along with a safety slip for you to bring home, get signed by your parents and returned the following day. It is important you get both of these sheets back to me by Thursday at the latest. Good work all, keep it up :-D

Tryouts

Tryouts for Armed Team (including upperclassmen) will begin on Monday September 27th, 2010. Fall in at the grinder at 2:20 sharp. Be prepared for 2 weeks of hard work. If you miss more then 3 days of tryouts, you will automatically be removed from tryouts and will have to wait until the end of the year tryouts.
You will have to be able to do a minimum of 30 pushups correctly and have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0 or higher. Failure to meet these requirements will disqualify you from trying out. Within the two weeks, you will be taught how to spin a rifle, how to do regulation with a rifle, rifle and team knowledge questions, and a short physical fitness test. Each member will be tried out individually and will be graded by the commander along with the sergeant. Good luck everyone, go Towns guards!

Uniform Day

First uniform date for all upperclassmen will be Monday September 27th, 2010. Don't forget to do your current events assignment as well! Practice will be held that day however, wearing your uniform is optional. I suggest you bring a change of clothes to do pushups, otherwise you will be rowing the boat for the time being. Please check in with LG before Monday to exchange any necessary parts.
