Group-Wide Can Collecting and Coin Battle

From December 1, 2009 through December 18, 2009, there were two friendly, annual competitions between the flights. They were Can Collecting and Coin Battle. As incentives, each competition came with winner's prizes. The winning flight of can collecting received a pizza party, and the winner of coin battle received points for RO Day competition. Overall the group was able to collect 4,800 ounces of non-perishable canned food and approximately $480 in coins (the coins took a while to count!). These are great numbers to start this year's fundraising and volunteering!

Congratulations to Charlie flight for collecting the most cans and Echo flight for fundraising the most money toward coin battle!

The CA935 cans will go to the 2009 San Diego Holiday Food Drive along with the rest of the joint brigade battalions. The coins will go to the booster fund.
